Figure Eight Island is an amenity unto itself; the natural setting is ideal for long walks on the beach, kayaking in the marsh or ocean, surfing, or just kicking back in a beach chair and watching the waves.

There is little traffic on the one road on the island, so many residents enjoy biking or jogging. The island also features a tennis court, a swimming pool, a marina, and a clubhouse, available for use by members of the Figure Eight Island Yacht Club.
